農学院生命フロンティアコース（応用分子昆虫学研究室）博士課程2年の関口真理さんがJournal of Insect Biotechnology and Sericology 89巻3号で発表した論文に対し、日本蚕糸学会進歩賞（奨励賞）が授与されました。受賞式は2022年3月14日にオンラインで開催された令和 4 年度蚕糸・昆虫機能利用学術講演会　日本蚕糸学会第 92 回大会で行われました。

論文タイトル：A single amino acid replacement of tyrosine with histidine at position 172 in BmNPV T3 GP64 decreases viral proliferation in silkworm larvae despite increasing membrane fusion activity with BmN cells

日本蚕糸学会進歩賞（奨励賞）は、Journal of Insect Biotechnology and Sericology、蚕糸昆虫バイオテックに掲載された、４０歳以下の若手研究者が筆頭著者である論文から選考され、授与される賞です。日本蚕糸学会進歩賞は1965年から続く歴史ある賞で、応用分子昆虫学研究室からは6人目の受賞となりました。
