School of Agriculture
Studies in agricultural science
The Faculty of Agriculture aims to educate on global scale issues such as problem-solving for food security, bio-resource management, bio-mass energy supply and environmental conservation as these are the foundations of human existence. Emphasis is also placed on the sustainable development of agriculture, forestry and fishery industries at local scales. Alumni are expected to master both a broader outlook by combining bio- and environmental-resources and acquire a deeper knowledge on the foundations of human existence. Since the foundation of Sapporo Agricultural School in 1876, we are moving forward in cultivating a frontier spirit and educating well-rounded personalities.
